Canadian Optimist Charter Registration

Fareast Boats Canada is proud to once again support the Canadian Optimist Nationals as the official charter supplier, following our successful involvement in 2023. A limited fleet of 20 Fareast Optimists will be available for charter during the event:

  • 15 Hull-Only Charter Boats

  • 5 Complete Charter Boats

All charter boats are brand new or like-new hulls delivered directly from the factory, prepared specifically for the Canadian Optimist Nationals. Sailors can expect clean, competitive boats prepared to a high standard and ready for racing. Charters are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Optimist Hull Charter

The Hull Charter package includes:

  • Fareast Optimist hull

  • Trolley

  • Buoyancy airbags

The following items are not included and must be supplied by the sailor:

  • Sail

  • Spars

  • Foils (daggerboard and rudder)

  • Mainsheet system

  • Bailers

This option is ideal for sailors traveling with their own rig and equipment.

Complete Optimist Charter

The Complete Charter package includes:

  • Fareast Optimist hull

  • Trolley

  • Buoyancy airbags

  • Spars

  • Foils (daggerboard and rudder)

  • Mainsheet system

  • Bailers

  • Top cover

Sail is not included. Competitors must bring their own class-legal sail.

This option is recommended for sailors traveling from out of province or internationally who prefer a turnkey solution.

Charter Credit Opportunity

To further support sailors and clubs, 50% of the charter fee can be reimbursed if the chartered Optimist hull is purchased prior to the end of the event by:

  • The sailor

  • Their club

  • Or a referred buyer (friend, teammate, or contact connected to the charter sailor)

This creates a great opportunity to test a brand-new boat at Nationals while applying a significant portion of the charter cost toward ownership.

Payment & Reservation

Full payment is required to reserve your charter boat. Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of payment.

Charter prices will increase by 15% after June 1st for late registrations.
